Heading a soccer ball may be bad for the brain

imageIf your chid plays soccer, it might be wise to advise him/her to not make a habit of hitting the ball with his/her head. Doctors have discovered through brain scans that, although they might not get concussions from these small hits, an accumulation of these "subconcussive" hits can cause major damage to brain tissue.
