A man played "Candy Crush" nonstop, everyday for six to eight weeks, and ruptured his tendon some time during those weeks, but he felt no pain. The man had no idea he had hurt himself until he stopped playing the game. This means that the video game acted as a virtual painkiller in that it didn't allow the man to realize he had been injured. This may allow for the use of video games as clinical management tools!
