When Chile's Chaiten volcano erupted, illuminating the sky with green lightning, scientists were curious to know how this phenomenon can occur. Atmospheric scientist, Arthur Few, decided to look more into this and explore why this green lightning is seen during volcanic eruptions but not during regular thunderstorms.
