Wave Height during a Hurricane

imageIn this easy experiment, students can learn about how wind speed and the depth of the water can affect the height of waves during a hurricane.  All they need is a baking dish, a straw, duct tape, water, and a ruler.  There are also suggested applications, so the experiment can be adapted for older or younger students.
