A 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit western Pakistan this past Tuesday, triggering the formation of a new island. Scientists are researching more into the formation of this new island. Researchers suspect that this is a form of mud island, which was the result of massive amounts of mud being pushed up due to the earthquake.
