Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument
Florissant Fossible Beds National Monument is home to thousands of different kinds of fossils of plants and insects. This park features an exhibit, children’s interactive workbooks, and guided tours. There are even fossil excavation demonstrations open to all those who visit the park. Teacher education programs are available to teachers during summer so that they can learn about the paleontology/geology specific to Florissant valley, and take advantage the many field trip oppurtunities available for their classes.
